- I.S. 3218 expects a competent person to service a fire detection and alarm system quarterly, with certification issued annually. ADS Group schedules those visits and issues the certificates for you.
- What standard covers emergency lighting?
- Emergency lighting in Ireland is designed, installed and tested to I.S. 3217. That means a monthly function test and an annual full-duration discharge test, both recorded and certified.
- Do you cover both Ireland and the UK?
- Yes. ADS Group installs and maintains fire and security systems for commercial and industrial properties across Ireland and the UK, with over 1,300 active maintenance contracts.
- Can one contractor handle fire and security together?
- Yes. We are a PSA licensed security contractor and fire safety specialist, so fire detection, emergency lighting, extinguishers, intruder alarms and CCTV can sit under a single accountable maintenance contract.
- What happens if a system fails outside working hours?
- Maintenance contracts include 24/7 emergency callout. Monitored intruder alarms are also watched around the clock by an accredited Alarm Receiving Centre.
