From a Dublin startup to a national safety leader
ADS Group was founded in 2003 as Adam Security with a single conviction: Irish businesses deserved a fire and life safety partner who treated compliance as craft, not paperwork.
Two decades later, we have installed and maintained life safety systems across thousands of commercial properties, from boutique hotels in Galway to logistics campuses in the Midlands. In 2024/25 our acquisition of Panther Alarms brought two established teams under one roof, significantly expanding our engineering capacity across Ireland and the UK.
Today, ADS Group serves over 1,300 active clients across Ireland and the UK with the same uncompromising standards we held on day one.
Our Journey
Founded as Adam Security
Founded in Dublin by Tom O'Loughlin, initially focused on intruder alarm systems, CCTV and security systems for residential clients.
Expansion into Fire & Life Safety
Expanded services to include fire and life safety, adding fire detection, emergency lighting and fire fighting equipment to our offering.
Specialist Fire & Life Safety Pivot
The COVID-19 period marked a defining pivot for ADS Group. We transitioned from a broad security and fire services company to a specialist fire and life safety business. All staff remained fully employed and all compliance inspections and maintenance obligations were fulfilled for every active client throughout.
Acquisition of Panther Alarms
Acquisition of Panther Alarms, bringing two established teams under one roof and significantly expanding our engineering capacity across Ireland and the UK.

Built from the ground up
Tom O'Loughlin founded Adam Security in Dublin in 2003, drawing on years of hands-on experience as a field engineer working abroad. With a grounding in technical systems and a focus on doing the job right, Tom built the business from the ground up, growing from residential security installs to one of Ireland's leading fire and life safety companies.
What started as a one-man operation is now a team of certified engineers serving over 1,300 active clients throughout Ireland and the UK.
