A year on from the acquisition
Twelve months ago, ADS Group completed the acquisition of Panther Alarms. The intention was straightforward: bring two experienced fire and security teams under one roof, expand the engineering capacity available to clients, and protect the long-standing service relationships that both companies had built. A year on, this edition is a short, honest look at where that has landed for the people who matter most, existing clients.
Panther Alarms had a reputation for direct, engineer-led service and a deep installed base across Ireland. ADS Group brought broader fire and life safety capability, a national service footprint, and the systems and standards required to run that at scale. The integration over the last twelve months has been about combining those strengths without losing what made either business work for its clients in the first place.
The goal was never to absorb Panther Alarms. It was to bring two engineer-led teams together, expand what each client could reach for, and protect the relationships that were already there.
An expanded engineering team
The most material change for clients is the size and depth of the combined engineering team. Where individual engineers previously covered a specific region or a specific discipline, ADS Group now schedules across a larger pool of fire and security engineers, covering fire detection, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and gas detection. In practice, that means faster response on call-outs, better continuity when an engineer is unavailable, and more depth on complex sites that need more than one discipline at a time.
Engineers from both legacy teams have been retained, retrained where needed, and aligned to a single set of installation, commissioning, and maintenance standards. The intent is that whether a client engaged us originally through Panther Alarms or through ADS Group, the experience on site looks and feels the same, same documentation, same service standards, same escalation route.
PSA Licensed Security Contractor
ADS Group operates as a Private Security Authority licensed security contractor. The standards that apply to the installation and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control apply across the combined team, including former Panther Alarms engineers, who now operate under ADS Group's licensing and quality systems.
What existing clients can expect in the year ahead
For clients carried over from Panther Alarms, and for long-standing ADS Group clients, the practical position for 2026 is:
- Existing service contracts and maintenance arrangements continue to be honoured under ADS Group
- Wherever possible, the engineer who knows your site continues to look after your site
- A larger combined team means faster response when your usual engineer is unavailable
- Broader capability, fire detection, emergency lighting, intruder, CCTV, access control, gas detection, and bespoke life safety, available from a single contractor
- A single point of contact for fire and security across all your premises
Nothing about how you raise a call-out, request a maintenance visit, or escalate an issue needs to change. Existing contact numbers and email addresses continue to route into the combined ADS Group service desk.
ADS Group's commitment going forward
The Panther Alarms acquisition was the start of a longer plan to build a fire and security contractor that Irish facilities professionals can rely on across every discipline they have to manage, not just one. Over the next twelve months, ADS Group will continue to invest in the engineering team, in service systems, and in the standards that protect clients on audit, on insurance review, and on day-to-day operational risk.
If you came to ADS Group through Panther Alarms and want to confirm the status of an existing contract, or if you would like to talk through how the expanded team can support additional fire or security needs on your site, our team is available.
